How we handle your data.

We collect the minimum information needed to run our events and stay in touch with you. This page explains exactly what we hold, who else sees it, and how to ask for changes or removal.

Last updated · 20 May 2026

The short version

  • What we hold: your name, business email, phone, company, and designation — collected only when you register for an event or apply to speak.
  • What we send: event confirmations, calendar invites, pre-read briefs, day-of reminders, post-event recaps. You can unsubscribe from any email any time.
  • Never sold: we never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
  • Your right: ask us to show, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing info@resurgentevents.com.

1 · Who we are

Resurgent Events is operated by Resurgent India Limited. Resurgent India Limited is the data fiduciary for personal data collected through resurgentevents.com.

For any data-related question — access, correction, deletion, or a complaint about how your information has been handled — write to info@resurgentevents.com. We respond within 7 working days.

2 · What data we collect, and why

We collect the smallest set of information needed to run an event and stay in useful contact afterwards. There is no ad-tracking, no profiling, no enrichment beyond what’s needed for the event you signed up for.

When you register for a physical event or webinar

  • First name and last name
  • Business email address
  • Phone number (used for WhatsApp reminders + day-of contact)
  • Company name and designation
  • Industry sector (to gauge audience mix)
  • City (Delhi NCR delegates only — for in-person physical events)
  • Your registration timestamp + browser session metadata for fraud prevention

Purpose: To confirm your seat, share Zoom links or venue details, send pre-read briefs and post-event materials, and ensure each session has the right mix of senior practitioners in the room.

When you apply to speak

  • Everything above, plus:
  • Profile photo (optional, base64 stored)
  • LinkedIn profile URL (optional)
  • Short professional bio
  • Topics you'd like to anchor
  • Years of experience and any speaker references you choose to share

Purpose: To evaluate the fit between your expertise and our upcoming sessions, draft your speaker brief, and — only with your consent — list you on the public event page.

When you visit the public site

  • If you've registered before, your first name is stored in your browser's localStorage so we can show a personalised greeting on return visits. This stays on your device only — never sent to our servers.
  • Standard web-server log fields (IP address, user agent, request path) retained for a short period for diagnostics and abuse prevention.
  • We do NOT use third-party advertising cookies. We do NOT run cross-site tracking. We do NOT enrich your profile from external sources.

Purpose: To personalise return visits and keep the site online and secure.

3 · How long we keep it

  • Active registrations: retained as long as you remain an active subscriber. We send no more than ~2 emails per event, plus the option-in WhatsApp reminders.
  • Post-event: we retain registration records for up to 36 months after the event so we can send recordings, slide decks, and invite you to follow-up sessions on related themes.
  • Speaker applications: approved-speaker records are retained as long as you remain on the speaker roster. Rejected applications are anonymised after 12 months.
  • Server logs: 30 days, then automatically purged.
  • On request: we delete your record within 7 working days of receiving a verified deletion request. Backups roll off within 30 days.

4 · Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), and as a matter of basic respect, you have the right to:

  • Access — ask us what data we hold about you, in a readable format.
  • Correct — ask us to update inaccurate or outdated information (you can also do this yourself via the edit link in any confirmation email).
  • Erase — ask us to delete your record. We will do this within 7 working days unless retention is required for a specific legal obligation.
  • Withdraw consent — for any communication channel (email or WhatsApp) at any time. Unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email; WhatsApp opt-out by replying STOP to any reminder, or by emailing us.
  • Object — to any processing you find unreasonable.
  • Lodge a complaint — with the Data Protection Board of India, if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.

To exercise any of these, email info@resurgentevents.com.

5 · Cookies and localStorage

We use a small amount of browser storage — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

  • localStorage (your first name): if you’ve previously registered on this device, we store your first name locally so the site can greet you on return visits. Clear it any time via the × on the greeting chip or your browser’s site-data controls.
  • localStorage (UTM attribution): if you arrived from a campaign link, the source tags are stored briefly so we can attribute your eventual registration back to that campaign. No personal data, no cross-site sharing.
  • Session cookies: only set for the small admin area at /admin (used by Resurgent India staff only). Public visitors never receive a session cookie.

6 · Children

Our events are aimed at senior business and legal leaders. The site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please email us and we will delete the record immediately.

7 · International data transfers

Some of the service providers listed in section 3 are based outside India (Anthropic, Resend, Vercel, Turso). When your data is transferred to them, we rely on those providers’ published security and processing terms, and we only share the minimum fields needed to deliver the relevant feature.

Where you can choose, we prefer providers with explicit India processing options. If you would prefer not to have your data processed by a specific service in this list, write to us and we will work out an alternative path for your registration.

8 · Changes to this policy

When we add a new data processor, expand the scope of what we collect, or change retention periods, this page is updated and the Last updated date at the top is bumped. We do not retroactively change how previously collected data is used.

For material changes (a new category of data, or a new third-party processor handling personal data), we will also notify registered users by email before the change takes effect.

9 · Contact

For any privacy question — request, correction, deletion, complaint, or just to talk through how we handle your data — write to info@resurgentevents.com.

We respond within 7 working days.
